Provider Verification Requirements

Last updated 6 September 2026

Effective Date: September 6, 2026 Platform: Solar Marketplace

These Provider Verification Requirements apply to installers and suppliers seeking to participate in Solar Marketplace as verified providers.

Verification is intended to improve marketplace trust and transparency. It does not guarantee provider performance, workmanship, product quality, solvency, or project outcome.

1. Purpose of Verification

Solar Marketplace may verify certain provider information before allowing or continuing:

- marketplace participation; - quotation activity; - display of a Verified status; - access to provider-specific features.

Verification helps confirm that a provider has supplied information reasonably sufficient for its stated role.

2. Provider Roles

Verification is role-specific.

A company may participate as:

- Installer - Supplier - Both Installer and Supplier

Where a company holds more than one role, each role may require separate verification information and approval.

Approval for one role does not automatically verify another role.

3. Information Providers Must Submit

Depending on the provider role and services offered, Solar Marketplace may require:

- legal company name; - business registration information; - tax or company identification details where applicable; - business address or service area; - business contact email; - business telephone or WhatsApp number; - authorized representative information; - years of relevant experience; - business description; - service categories; - delivery or supply capabilities; - payment terms; - licence or certification details; - insurance information; - manufacturer or distributor authorization where claimed; - other documentation reasonably required for verification.

4. Installer Verification

Installers may be required to provide evidence relevant to the installation services they offer.

This may include:

- electrical licences; - professional or trade qualifications; - business registration; - liability or other relevant insurance; - solar installation experience; - service-area information; - technical certifications; - manufacturer training or certifications where claimed; - other documents reasonably necessary to assess eligibility.

The platform may require updated documents where an existing document expires.

5. Supplier Verification

Suppliers may be required to provide information including:

- business registration; - business location; - service or delivery area; - product categories; - payment terms; - business contact details; - distribution or manufacturer authorization where claimed; - relevant warranties or product support information; - other supporting documents reasonably necessary to assess supplier eligibility.

6. Accuracy of Submitted Information

All verification information must be:

- truthful; - complete; - current; - capable of being supported where requested.

Providers must not submit:

- altered documents; - false licences; - expired credentials represented as current; - misleading insurance information; - false manufacturer authorization; - documents belonging to another person or company.

Providing false or misleading verification information may result in suspension or removal from the platform.

7. Provider Declaration

Before registration or verification is completed, providers may be required to confirm that:

- they have read and accepted applicable platform policies; - information submitted is true and accurate; - misleading information may result in suspension or removal; - they consent to required service-related communications.

These declarations may be recorded with the provider role, policy version, and acceptance timestamp.

8. Verification Review

Solar Marketplace may review submitted information manually or through supported verification processes.

The platform may:

- approve verification; - request additional documents; - request corrections; - reject incomplete or inconsistent submissions; - place verification on hold; - remove or suspend verification where information becomes unreliable.

Solar Marketplace is not obligated to approve every provider that applies.

9. Verified Status

A Verified status means only that Solar Marketplace completed the verification checks applicable to that provider at the time of review.

It does not mean Solar Marketplace guarantees:

- workmanship; - pricing; - financial condition; - product quality; - project completion; - warranty performance; - safety performance; - future compliance.

Customers should still independently review providers and quotations.

10. Ongoing Verification

Verification is not necessarily permanent.

Providers may be required to update:

- licences; - insurance; - business registration; - contact information; - certifications; - service area; - business details; - other verification information.

Solar Marketplace may periodically request re-verification.

11. Expired or Changed Credentials

Providers must promptly update any verification information that:

- expires; - is suspended; - is revoked; - becomes inaccurate; - materially changes.

A provider must not continue presenting an expired or invalid qualification as current.

12. Verification Suspension

Solar Marketplace may temporarily suspend Verified status where:

- required documents expire; - submitted information cannot be confirmed; - contradictory information is identified; - complaints raise material verification concerns; - the provider fails to respond to a reasonable verification request; - there is evidence of fraud or misrepresentation.

Suspension of verification may also restrict marketplace or quotation access.

13. Revocation of Verification

Verification may be revoked where Solar Marketplace determines there is sufficient evidence of:

- fraudulent documents; - material misrepresentation; - revoked or invalid licences; - serious marketplace-rule violations; - misuse of Verified status; - failure to maintain required qualifications; - other conduct creating material risk to marketplace users.

Relevant records may be preserved for audit and security purposes.

14. Complaints and Verification Reviews

Customer complaints do not automatically result in loss of verification.

However, Solar Marketplace may investigate complaints that relate to:

- provider identity; - licensing; - insurance; - false claims; - fraudulent documentation; - repeated serious misconduct.

Providers may be asked to submit additional supporting information.

15. Public Provider Information

Certain approved provider information may be shown publicly or to customers, including:

- company name; - provider role; - verification status; - service area; - business description; - service categories; - ratings and review count; - other information intentionally included in the public provider profile.

Private verification documents should not be publicly exposed unless specifically intended and authorized.

16. Privacy and Document Security

Verification records and documents should be handled in accordance with the Solar Marketplace Privacy Policy.

Access to private provider information should be limited to users or administrators with an authorized operational need.

17. No Transfer of Verification

Verification belongs to the specific company and role that was reviewed.

Providers must not:

- transfer verification to another company; - allow an unrelated business to use their verified account; - display the platform's Verified status for a company or role that has not been approved.

18. Changes to Verification Requirements

Solar Marketplace may update verification requirements to reflect:

- legal requirements; - marketplace risk; - new provider categories; - security needs; - changes to platform operations.

Where material new requirements apply to existing providers, reasonable notice or re-verification may be required.

19. Provider Responsibility

Verification does not reduce the provider's responsibility to comply with:

- applicable laws; - licensing requirements; - tax obligations; - safety requirements; - contractual commitments; - professional standards; - manufacturer requirements.

The provider remains responsible for its own work, products, employees, subcontractors, and representations.

20. Contact

Questions concerning verification requirements may be submitted through the official Solar Marketplace contact channel.
